Boston, MA – June 29, 2017 – Molly Hudson, chair of the awards committee, announced that Melanie Walton, CMP, has been named 2017 Meeting Professional of the Year – Planner at the Boston Park Plaza at the MPI New England Annual Meeting.  The chapter bestowed 5 prestigious awards this year; of the 15 nominations received, the field had been narrowed to 7 finalists. Melanie Walton was nominated by her meeting and events industry peers to receive a chapter award for her efforts and accomplishments in the last year. The awards program takes place annually and recognizes outstanding members for their achievements in the community and the New England meetings and events community at large.
