Community Event Support Samples
Many of our events outside of the Fast-Track Symposia series are ways for us to stay actively involved in our community and support the arts and local non-profits.
PlanetConnect
managed the first Taste of Red Bank, which took place
August 19th outside at the Two River Theater.
All proceeds of this event benefited the MONMOUTH COUNTY ARTS COUNCIL
which will help to promote bringing additional arts and music events to the Red Bank area.
Over 300 attendees sampled and savored the exquisite cuisine from 15 of Red Bank's finest restaurants,
and enjoyed a special performance by the new, 16-piece Red Bank Jazz Orchestra, assembled by the Jazz Arts Project.
PlanetConnect managed the 20th Annual FREE CD101.9
Red Bank Jazz & Blues Festival, which
took place June 2-4 in Marine Park by the gentle and beautiful
Navesink River. The event offered three full days and nights of jazz, blues,
food, crafts and plenty of family fun. The festival draws over 150,000 attendees and is one of the largest free music festivals in the Northeast. PlanetConnect tripled revenue levels for the festival over four years and provided in-house Association management for the Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues Foundation, the non-profit grass roots organization which produces the festival. In addition, PlanetConnect brought over $100,000 per year in grants to the thriving organization, putting both the Foundation and Festival on solid ground for many years to come.
Working with the Jersey Shore Jazz & Blues Foundation, the Monmouth Arts Council, Red Bank Rivercenter, Monmouth County Tourism and others, PlanetConnect help manage and revive a Red Bank tradition. First Night is an alchohol-free, entertainment that offers an eclectic buffet of performers, from a variety of music styles (including Opera, Jazz, Blues, Folk, Rock, Pop, Country, Chorale, Barbershop, Bagpipes), childrens activities (Storytelling, Facepainting, Clowns, Magicians, Arts and Crafts) and a mixture of other art styles (Poetry, Storytelling, Theatre) all for a very affordable and enjoyable year's end evening with over 175 performers in 20 venues throughout town.
