The PlanetConnect Pharma team is led by Rich Brandwein and Ronnye Schreiber, each of whom are dedicated to providing clients with an innovative approach to creating conferences that exceed expectations.
Ronnye P. Schreiber
Ronnye Schreiber founded PlanetConnect with Rich Brandwein in 1995 and is now the company CEO. She is also Co-founder and member of the Board of Directors of the BioPharma Research Council (BRC).
Prior to starting PlanetConnect, Ronnye was Director of Conference Planning for Megasoft, where she managed custom-designed, Internet-focused conferences and tradeshows for AT&T, Lucent Technologies and Johnson & Johnson. Her management experience throughout 12 years with AT&T and Lucent Technologies included marketing within the Broadband Multimedia Networking organization, where she managed multimedia distance learning and information access product development. Within Lucent’s Bell Laboratories, she directed the marketing, call center and internal training teams for the Global Library Network. Ronnye also provided information assessments for the Government of Manitoba, has work with various universities, The Walt Disney Company and other Fortune 500 companies.
Ronnye’s career began in the medical/pharmaceutical industry in a variety of research and academic positions focusing on biochemistry and immunology where she developed immunoassays for oncology and cardiovascular therapeutic areas. She held positions at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Arthur D. Little, Rutgers Medical School and Ortho Diagnostics (now Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics). She has co-authored and published several papers in the area of radioimmunoassays.
Ronnye also dedicates herself to working with non-profit organizations, including planning programs and festivals, managing sponsorships and fund-raising for a number of organizations such as the Association of Women in Science (AWIS), American Association of University Women (AAUW), Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and the Jersey Shore Jazz & Blues Foundation (JSJBF). Cities and towns throughout the state of New Jersey have also tapped into her expertise.
Ronnye was the Commencement Keynote for DeVry University in October 2005 and is a lifetime member of Beta Phi Mu. She is a member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and is active on community outreach programs. Ronnye has a master’s degree from Rutgers University School of Library and Information Studies and a bachelor of arts in bacteriology from Douglass College of Rutgers University.
Rich Brandwein founded PlanetConnect with Ronnye Schreiber in 1995. He has a broad background in Research and Software Development and sits on the board of a number of ventures, non-profits and associations including the BioPharma Research Council (BRC).
Previously, Rich served as CTO of Megasoft (now Innoveris), raising venture capital for the firm and creating a development team for a leading software distribution product. He also served as Chairman and CEO of the Local Group, which was sold in 2000.
Rich spent 15 years in research within Lucent Technologies, AT&T Bell Labs and SAIC Telecordia. His efforts covered a wide range of technical areas — from optical switching and networking, chair of a number of CCITT/ITU and ANSI data standards efforts, to a variety of web and Intranet/Internet based software projects within AT&T and Lucent Technologies. He led many business development projects at AT&T and Lucent related to the development of web properties that were transitioned from core research areas.
Rich has a master’s degree from the California Institute of Technology and degrees in finance and electrical engineering from the Wharton and Moore Schools of the University of Pennsylvania, respectively.
