and tutorials, Birds of a Feather sessions, technical and non-technical

your company together. Our larger internal corporate events
have been described as "mini-interops"—multidisciplinary, but
focused and customized just for your information-sharing needs.
Below is a description of the types of events we have managed
for clients:
At PlanetConnect, many of our
conferences and trade shows concentrate on information-sharing.
We create/manage events ranging in size from small local meetings
to international events with over 1,200 attendees and over 120
exhibitors. We have been creating and managing internal corporate
events for Fortune 200 companies for the past eight years.

Annual Events
Many companies work all year to produce an event that brings together their
customers, suppliers or end-users on an annual basis. These events often move
to different parts of the country (or globe) to minimize the hassle of travel
for the attendee. PlanetConnect can work with you to manage the entire event
or just the pieces that you decide upon.

Symposia are
events held from 1-2 days at a location central to the corporations most
interested in your specific product or topic. Generally, a symposium has experts
speaking in-depth towards a specific theme. PlanetConnect works with you to obtain
your chosen speakers and preferred sponsors and to ensure that all logistics from
the location to the technical speaker support is in place.
Conferences are a more extensive type of event. There may be several
parallel "tracks" of presentations, exhibitors showcasing their
products and services, pre- or post-conference courses, in-depth
tutorials, and more. They are true multidisciplinary events, tweaked
to provide the maximum in education with breaks for networking
and entertainment to enhance the experience of all attending.
Bringing together buyers and suppliers is the main purpose of
the trade show. Exhibitors demonstrate their products and services
and may provide talks and tutorials to attendees to enhance the
understanding of their offerings. Venues may include convention/exhibit
centers created specifically for trade shows or hotels/conference
centers that can be adapted depending on the space required and
the "look and feel" you wish to present.
Typically a half-day
or one-day event that may stay in one city or travel to many, the seminar is a
valuable tool to use to provide a set of information to your audience. The time
would be designed for a full or half-day of expert presentations on the topic of
your choice. The addition of a few suppliers and sponsors could serve to enhance
the experience for your attendees.
Global Road Shows
PlanetConnect will take your seminar, tutorial,
symposium or conference almost anywhere in the world. Our extensive
global experience and contacts enable us to provide you with in-country
support, which will reduce your time and cost to locate appropriate
venues, negotiate meeting contracts and find meeting support personnel. There
is no need to send your staff thousands of miles away; PlanetConnect handles it all. Working with strategic partners
in most countries, we make it possible for most of the legwork of setting up an event
overseas to be done from home. Whether it's identifying translation
services for the meeting or booking appropriate speakers from the geographic region, we make an event outside the U.S. to reach
your customers, users, and employees, "doable."
Local Road Shows
Many events do best when brought closest to the customers, employees or users
you want to reach. Developing a "cookie-cutter" event that you can move to
several cities is a cost-effective way of getting out your message.
PlanetConnect will work with you to locate the appropriate venues in each
city and negotiate the hotel, audio/visual and other necessary contracts,
as well as ensure that the speakers, suppliers, and attendees are all aware
of and excited about coming to the event.
Festivals
PlanetConnect will work with your City, Foundation or Association to create
Festivals and Events that will bring out the best in your community. We will
interact with members of your business and residential communities and work
with your city officials, chambers of commerce, business guilds and economic
development groups to ensure that the needs of all groups are met through
the event. Whether your goal is to attract tourists and generate new revenue
streams or to create a broader awareness to attract and enhance commerce in
your community, we will work with you on all aspects of the event to ensure

The Process
PlanetConnect assigns an Account Manager to each engagement. This
person works as a virtual extension of your company, ensuring
that the required resources are available during the planning
and implementation of your event. The Account Manager works with
the PlanetConnect Production Team to manage the myriad details
associated with your event. The Production Team members have functional
responsibility for each element of an event, including on-site
production.
